Almost 12 months ago Christina emailed me through Facebook asking for quotations for my rates for weddings – I was there in that season that my mind was clear to push for the sophistication brand. It was the planning and materializing stage of my photography.
Shooting weddings is a gift; though it’s the cycle of life that money revolves to pay the bills of every supplier – personally speaking, it’s also a total package spiced with fulfillment and challenges. Little did I know that Christina was my cousin, we were chatting and trying to connect our mutual friends in Facebook.
Then the AHA moment came.
We were cousins!
I have my debt of gratitude for Facebook for connecting me to people I really want to meet. Life is a bit cloudy that I haven’t met all my cousins yet especially on my father side. The moment I knew that we were on the same blood, I know 12 months ago that her wedding will get featured here in the site.
Christina reminded me that family would always be family in every season of life.
People come and go but family will always stay. I couldn’t find a comparison how joyful I am to have met my relatives to my father side. New friends and new stories!
The sophisticated couple’s story was a reflection of a promise came to life. Ten years ago Christina and Reagan decided to be as one through civil marriage. Since then, his prince promised to marry her in God’s presence in Church after then years.
Ten years and three little angels came to life.
Their engagement session was a perfect timing in life my life, it was the time I am building and nurturing the branding and portfolio for my sister studio who rocks every family we have in sophistication, Little J photography.
These lovebirds act as if they just met yesterday. I love Christina and Reagan for being open to sophistication and fearlessness. Their wedding is a treasure in my heart I couldn’t glue out of my mind mainly because of their amazing love story.
Promise and commitment.
Reagan is a rare knight, a responsible father who gives out energy to his kids during the pre wedding and family portraits. The wonderful thing about Christina, she knows our weakness, we were in deep craziness of her generosity of feeding our creativity with the in between meals. Ha ha ha!
This is the reason why I am fully committed and promising myself to keep on doing wedding photography. I keep on learning, it molds me more and more not only as a photographer but my totality as a person. The love, the experience, the mistakes, the different stories my couple gives me fills our drive for a creative life.
