The last couple of years during college, I have spent many times visiting U.P Diliman in Quezon City because the parks around the University have been always open to public. Every time I had the chance to practice portrait photography with my college schoolmates – I promised myself to have my first pre wedding in the venue to be one of a kind. I basically started putting the pressure on myself on being a wedding photographer four years ago, I was young and very skeptical of what I really want in life – fast forward to 2016, Krista introduced me Angel and Jeremy, the dream has finally come to an official pre wedding shoot.
I have been used in getting around, places for the past couples of months because of the destination pre weddings, international schedules are yet to unfold the coming months of the year but this session has been a very big challenge for me. To give you a little background about the location, a lot of aspiring photographers and professional photographers do their pictorial sessions around U.P. It has been a bandwagon to shoot here because of course, of the free venue, the open space of greens and a little sweet scape from the busy air of central manila, I want the session to be far away from unique. I tried to lean away from the usual spots of the venue and focused on the “not-to-shoot-here” spots of U.P. I admit it was quite hard to start the shoot because I didn’t start with the usual location, but I have a firm commitment in bringing out the most sophisticated in all aspects of the session.
The pressure was heavy, it was mainly because Angel & Jeremy is a close friend of my workout with my past employment Krista, which happens to be a stylist! It is often said that it’s hardest to work with friends because of the expectations – and of course this location has been my target for the past couple of years. Angel & Jeremy was the perfect couple for it; relaxed, chill, calm, stress-free (basically every word that revolves around comfort), is what describes them.
